I’ve given the farm-lads another call, told them the news about the council, warned them to go to the barns straight away to take the tools that Aunt Kat promised them. They said they should still be around by the time I get there, will give me a hand with anything if I need it. That’ll help a lot.

Also gave Paddy Mac a call, to see whether the books would be worth anything for his bookshop. Says he’ll come down from London to take a look-see, but probably not until this evening. Hope he can get here in time before the wreckers do, is all.
