Not a metaphor

Oh god, no – they’ve seen me here, yanking at the door. And one of them’s coming over with a crowbar. Which is not going to help…

He pushed me out of the way. Told me to back off. Said I didn’t have any right to be here, this is council property now, not mine.

And stuck the crowbar in the door.

Not a good idea.

House on the defensive?

It’s not a metaphor. Not here.

One of those black tendril-things stretched out and yanked the crowbar right out of his hand. Threw it yards away. Should have seen the guy’s face…

But he’s panicked now. They’re all panicked. And the house is panicked too – I can feel it.

This is not going to end well…
